BKA Community Partnership Program
The BKA Community Partnership Program-is a community partnership program that builds a collaborative partnership with organizations and individuals to tackles critical issues affecting the communities in Minnesota and Bong County, Liberia.
BKA Community Health and Wellness Program
The BKA Community Health Awareness and Wellness Project provides health awareness and assistance to address the critical health care needs in Bong County, Liberia.
The Project Focus
- Health fair (health education, disease prevention, and screening) in Liberia at community markets and schools within Bong County.
- Blood pressure education and screening (adults)
- Hand washing and disease prevention – at schools/market grounds (adults & children)
- Donation of Less Costly Medical Supplies & Equipment Donate to field nurses (e.g. blood pressure testing machines, Tylenol, etc.)
- Donate less costly medical supplies and equipment to clinics, traditional midwives’ centers, etc.
- Donate school supplies to school children

- Adults, children, and youth in Bong County, Liberia

- Community marketplaces in Bong County

- Hospital and clinics in Bong County
BKA Education Program (MN-USA & Liberia)
The BKA Education Program provides an opportunity for young people in Minnesota and Bong County, Liberia to develop and manage community-driven programs, which include but are not limited to leadership training, college preparedness, scholarship, and mentoring programs.
Academic Scholarship
Bong Kwatekeh Association established academic excellence scholarships and need-based scholarships to support students from Bong County in higher education.
Back-to-School Program
Bong Kwatekeh Association partners with community organizations to solicit and provide school supplies to needy families in the community.
BKA Crisis Management Program (MN-USA)
The BKA Crisis Management Program supports the organization’s members who are bereaved, sick, impacted by COVID-19, and grief-stricken with other life crises. BKA Crisis Committee engages in outreach to members and provides needed resources to members that are in need.
